IL-2, generally thought to be a proliferative lymphokine for immune cells, is dramatically decreased by vitalethine in both uninfected and infected cells. Metal toxins that poison vitalethine, therefore, could be a primary cause of blood cancers, first by “dys”rupting our ability to make specific antibodies to fight the cancer or the infection, and then by “dys”rupting the off switch for immune (white blood) cell division which steps in to try and fill the gap in humoral immunity. This probably also explains why the use of IL-2 and interferon-gamma to treat cancer and ptjer “dys”eases has failed, and why those who die of avian flu typically have such strong cell-mediated immune responses, lethal cytokine storm.
