The FDA has issued a warning that EDTA should never be administered as the free acid unless to treat those at risk from life-threatening poisoning with calcium. EDTA chemically resembles the chelator, EGTA, used by Dr. Lawrence to elegantly illustrate chelation's dangers in depleting critical nutrients. Chelating calcium suppressed vitalethine-dependent cytolytic antibody production, the very humoral immunity that protects us from cancer and infectious disease. Most carcinogens are toxic to this antibody-mediated immunity.
